Kindergarten Registration in Oldham County

Do you have kiddo’s that are going to kindergarten this August?  If so, it’s time to get them registered for school (can you believe how fast time has gone? Mine started Kindergarten this year!).  Parents should sign their children up at the school they are districted to attend (not the school you want them to attend). Click here to find out what school your child is districted to attend.

You can sign your child up on the following days:school news

Tuesday, March 4 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday, March 5 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

If your child is districted to attend the new Locust Grove Elementary School, registration will be held at Camden Station Elementary in Crestwood.

When you go to sign up your child for Kindergarten, there are also a few things that you’ll need to bring with you and a few doctors appointments you may need to make (you can read more about these things here) :

To Bring with you:

Birth Certificate
Proof of Residency in Oldham County (Drivers License is not accepted)

Appointments to Make:

Get Immunization Shots up to date (needed before the child starts school)
Appointment for an Eye Examination (must be done before Jan 1 of the child’s school year)

Note: There is a special form that needs to be completed for the eye exam. You can find that form here under the heading for Eye Examination.

If you have any questions about Oldham County or the School system (from a mom’s perspective), let me know – we can go chat over coffee!
